Easter Countdown: Celebrate Week
With the arrival of Palm Sunday, it's time to celebrate! Take care of these last Celebrate Week tasks for a happy, organized Easter Sunday.
To Do This Week
- Check your menu one last time. Pick up any last minute ingredients.
- Check basket contents NOW. Do you have too little? Too much? Make adjustments. It’s okay to put some things back for next year if you have picked up too much.
- Finalize your Easter egg hunt, Easter trivia for the adults and kids, and any other special activities.
- Final outfit check for Easter morning. Do you have it all? Is it clean and ironed?
- As a family, read the Easter story and discuss what it means to each of you. Watch a Passion Play if your area hosts one.
- Record each year’s special traditions on a tradition tracker form. Add new ideas and record your family’s reaction. Keep the memories alive! File these in an Easter Notebook or Easter section of your holiday notebook.
- Don’t forget clearance shopping. Lots of goodies after Easter can be used for summer birthdays, vacation bible school, or tucked away for next year.
- The weekend following Easter hold a holiday debriefing. Record impressions, memories, and solutions to guide next year’s celebration in your notebook. Think about the “feel” of the holiday.
